Using hand santiser constantly can leave your hands dry and sticky. In this article, I will be looking at my favourite hand santisers that are available with a matching hand cream to combat the dryness.
This is my go to set, both for its lovely uplifting fragrance but also for the lack of stickiness.
It has a gorgeous citrus and woody smell. It comes in a travel size 50ml at £7 or a larger 500ml at £33 if you want to keep topping it up.
This is the santiser I found the least sticky.
Aesop also have a matching hand balm so you don’t have clashing scents when you need to moisturise. The Aesop Hand Balm in Resurrection comes in a handy 75ml tube for travel for £21. It may sound like a lot but it is very concentrated and you only need a little to soothe those chapped hands!
You can buy both from Cult Beauty here.
This Works – stress check
My second favourite is the This Works stress check clean hands. I actually prefer the calming scent of this one but it does not feel as nice on the hands as Aesop. The fragrance contains soothing essential oils such as Lavender, Neroli and Patchouli.
There is also a roller ball for a calming scent on the go or Hand Sheiled, a purifying, anti-bacterial hand spray with 70% Alcohol and moisturising Hyaluronic Acid.
ESPA Bergamot & Jasmine No Rinse Hand Cleanser
Created with a 60% alcohol-based formula, the hand gel is quick drying and reminds me of luxury hotels stays with it’s refreshing fragrance. This range is used in many top hotels such as The Corinthia and Sofitel.
The hand gel is not at all sticky and it’s blended with luxurious essential oils, with a natur scent of Jasmine and Bergamot.
There is a big range of matching products in the same fragrance including hand lotion, hand wash and body lotion.
If you are willing to buy a pack of three hand santisers they can be great value at £15 for the set or £6 for one 75ml bottle.
You can buy them at Look Fantastic here and there is currently an offer for 20% off with Code: LFBEAUTY.
Aromatherapy Associates Tea Tree & Eucalyptus No Rinse Hand Gel 100ml
This is a pricey option at £12 for 100ml but it does have a zingy fragrance and contains natural anti-viral Tea Tree oil. A quick sniff of this on your hands will help perk you up and clear your head.
It has 70% alcohol and is infused with a refreshing pure essential oil blend of Tea Tree, Eucalyptus and Pine. It’s also quick-drying & non-greasy with added softener.

Aromatherapy Associates hand lotion nourishes, hydrates and comforts skin. It costs £21 for a very generous 300ml size. The lotion is with Aromatherapy Associates enriched with essential oilLotion. of Madagascan Ylang Ylang and Vanilla. soothe while Shea Butter softens and moisturises. Margaret Dabbs London – The Hand Sanitiser
Margaret Dabbs is a world-renowned podiatrist whose products for hands, feet and legs are used in many high spas. I love her foot products which contain emu oil. Emu oil has many properties such as being anti-inflammatory and locks in skin moisture, making the skin less prone to cracking or drying out.
This is different to the other products I have featured as it is an antibacterial spritz rather than a gel. It contains 65 per cent alcohol to kill germs and bacteria.
It has a gorgeous citrusy-based scent with mandarin and geranium. Emu Oil and white water lily help keep your hands osft, supple and hydrated.
It comes in 30ml for travel or your handbag and 200ml for at home or your desk at work.
The matching Intensive Hydrating Hand Lotion 200ml costs £25.
