If you are willing to buy online, there is no reason to pay the full price for most beauty products. This article looks at the tips and tricks to getting the best value for money when shopping for skin care, make up and hair care products.

Always check for an offer the first time you use a site

Many of the beauty sites will offer you a code to get 10-20% off your first order if you sign up for their newsletter. Even if you don’t want it, you can just unsubsribe straight away as soon as you get the code. Quite often these first puchase offers are pop-ups which may appear as you try to leave the site. Keep an eye out for them so you don’t miss out!

Join a loyalty scheme

Loyalty schemes are a bit of a pain as you need to keep track of them. But they can give some great money off purchases and most are now online.

Obviously there are some that are storewide or others such as Debenhams Beauty Club that are specifically for beauty.

Why not try these ones?

Space NK N.dulge

Space NK are one of my favourite Beauty shops and are on;ine as well as having physical shops. There Indulge program is worth joining as even in store if you forget their card, they can quickly find your details on their system. You earn 1 point for every £1 spent. Reach 100 points and you receive a £5 N.centive to spend. Plus, you can also earn points by leaving online product reviews and feferring a friend. On your birthday you get a gift of an edit of favourite in trial sizes.

There is a premium level, N.DULGE Deluxe if you spend £1000 a year where you earn double the points and get full-size products for your birthday gift.

You can join here and if you purchase more than you via this link will receive £10 off your first order.

Debenhams My Beauty Club

Debenhams are a good place to buy the major beauty brands as they nearly always have some sort of a discount or offer on points with their Beauty Club. You would also need a Debenhams online account to be able to shop and earn points but both are easy to sign up for. Your points convert once a month into rewards, and for every 500 points you collect, you will receive a £5 reward. A total of 5000 points can be converted per month. Any points collected over 5000 will be carried over to the next month.

You’ll earn 3 points for every £1 spent on beauty & fragrance products so you would have to spend £166 to get a £5 reward. But you can earn extra points during bonus point events which happen very frequently. You also get free samples in store and free delivery on any Debenhams orders containing beauty or fragrance products.

Overall I find this combined with cashback (see below) to be one of the cheapest places to buy the main luxury brands such as Estee Lauder, Clinique and Chanel etc.

Boots Advantage Club

The standard offer is 4 points per £1 spent, which means you have to spend £125 to get £5. However, there are always double points offers very frequently, so it’s pretty easy to build up points quickly.

Use cashback sites

Many of the best bargains to be had on luxury beauty shopping can be through using a cashback site. The 2 that I recommend are Top cashback and Quidco. They feature hotel chains, airlines and most of the major travel sites such as Look Fantastic and Cult Beauty as well as brands like Clarins and YSL. Rates of cashback vary from week to week but cashback of up to 10% is regularly offered. Make sure you sign up to their emails to be notified of when the best deals are available.

I have saved over £3500 through Top Cashback. You can take the rewards as cash or get a bonus by taking vouchers from shops to Avios.

Earn flights, hotels and more

An alternative to cashback is to use one of the airline or hotel shopping portals. These work in the same way as cashback only you get miles, Avios or points instead of cash.

British Airways Executive Club has an e-shopping portal with offers on many luxury shops such as Selfridges and online retailers such as Look Fantastic where you can earn up to 16 Avios per £1. You can find more out about the Executive Club here on our travel blog, Turning Left for Less.

Virgin Altantic also have a similar e-store called Shops Away where you can earn Virgin Points that can be spent on everything from flights to wine!

You can find more about Shops Away here.

And, of course, the best trick of all is to subscribe to Luxe Beauty for Less or follow us on social media as we bring you all the latest offers. Rather than read through hundreds of emails, let us do the hard work and sift through the best deals.
